The dust is starting to settle...

...so I guess it's time to catch up on my blog. So much has happened, so it will take a while. I figured I would start out with the most exciting part... pictures of my new house! We are pretty much moved in. I'm not one to sit around when there's work to be done, so I got the boxes all unpacked the first couple of days. There are pictures on the walls, and the drawers are "populated" as my computer geek brother in law, Mark said it. Pretty much all I need now are curtains, a back yard and color on the walls. The white, flat paint is driving me crazy, but other than that, I love my new house! Somehow I didn't end up with any outside pics of my house, so I will just show you around the inside!

Here is the view from the family room window.

This is the front entry.

The view from the front door.

David's office, which is just inside the front door.

The view into the kitchen through the butler's pantry.

Here is the family room.

My beautiful kitchen...

more kitchen...

and more kitchen. My kitchen is huge! I put all my stuff in the cupboards and found that I had one entire floor to ceiling cupboard and 4 drawers empty! I think I will put some craft/scrapbook stuff there.

Here's the beautiful view out of the loft window.

This is the landing/loft area.

This is the loft/TV room. It's hard to get good pictures of it, but this is where we spend much of our time.

You can see David and Kallai in the TV room playing Wii.

Here is the kids bathroom. Whoever thought of a door separating the toilet/tub area from the sink area was pretty smart.

My laundry room. I love all of the cabinets and counter space! I am used to a laundry closet.

Here is Taliah's bedroom. I don't have pics of Kallai and Jordan's bedrooms because they were messy when I had the camera out.

My master bedroom.

Here is my bathroom, with it's ginormous tub. I can sit upright in it and cover myself up to my chin in water!

I love the double sinks. David and I don't have to do-si-do around each other in the morning any more. A bathroom with no door on it will take some getting used to though.

My ward is wonderful. Everyone has been very warm and welcoming. The neighborhood is nice. The beaches are AMAZING! We've done some swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, etc... and I will post pics of that in another post. I've only gotten lost a few times, but I've always found my way home eventually. I really miss my friends and family in Utah, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a California girl!
